If you're on the hospital network, you don't need to do anything special. Publishers recognize traffic coming from our network.
If you're away from the hospital network, you'll need to have an OpenAthens account to prove to publishers that you're covered by Madigan subscription licenses.
Sign up here for an OpenAthens account.* You can self-register with your @health.mil address. This is the only email domain that allows self-registration. If you have an email account in the @army.mil or @mail.mil domains, please contact us so that we may register you.
Note: If you already have an OpenAthens account from another institution, please contact us so that we can transfer that account to Madigan's OpenAthens configuration. All MTF libraries have access to a common set of resources licensed centrally through DHA. Madigan, along with other MTFs with large training footprints, subscribe to additional resources to support local training and research programs. If you don't have a Madigan OpenAthens account, you won't have access to all our resources.
